Design and Structure
- Ariumlab Extractors contains 96 or 24 magnetic pins. Depending on the working volume, user choses the most suitable magnet formation.
- Standard consumables like combs are used as a sterile barrier, fitting over the magnetic pins.
Process Overview
- Bead Attraction:
- The Cover Plate is clipped over the magnetic pins of the extractor.
- The assembly is dipped into a source microplate containing magnetic beads in suspension.
- The beads are attracted to the magnetic pins and adhere to the outside of the comb’s pointed wells.
- Transfer Mechanism:
- Strong neodium magnetic pins enable fast and efficient bead extraction with minimal loss.
- Magetic beads are collected at the tip of the combs’ surface.
- Once the beads are bound to the comb, the extractor is moved from the source plate to the destination plate.
- Bead Release:
- The beads are released into the liquid in the wells of the destination plate by removing the comb from the magnetic pins using the push plate.
